Since I live in St. Louis, Missouri, I thought I would make a page with a few things that I love to do here in my own city. This page will be set up slightly different than the other pages since I won’t be doing a day by day account of home base, but I just want to highlight some of the fun and different things that I do while I’m not travelling.

January 1, 2023: Hiking with Nico
We started off the new year hiking with Nico. Nico found a stick and decided he didn’t want to hike anymore.
February 25, 2023: Bryce’s Birthday Party
We drove up to Northern Illinois for a joint birthday party with Bryce’s cousin as they both were turning 40.
March 3, 2023: Bryce’s Birthday Party
On Bryce’s actual birthday, we went out to eat at the Melting Pot (fondue)!
March 18, 2023: Battlehawks Game (Football)
Bryce and I met up with my aunt and uncle for a Battlehawks game.
April 29, 2023: 70’s Birthday Party
We went to a friend’s themed birthday party and got to dress up for the evening.
May 6, 2023: Chihuly at the Botanical Gardens
The botanical Gardens had a Chihuly display and there were a lot of amazing features throughout the gardens.
May 12, 2023: Samantha Pauly Concert
We got to meet Samantha Pauly who originated Katherine Howard in the Broadway Six.
June 23, 2023: Jammin at the Zoo
We always enjoy Jammin’ at the Zoo. It’s an adult only event with drinks, train rides, and string ray petting.
June 24, 2023: Fox Theatre Tour
We finally got around to doing a backstage tour of the Fox Theatre including a tour of under the state to see the dressing rooms and time on the stage itself.
June 28, 2023: Adam Pascal Concert
We got to meet Adam Pascal who originated Roger in Rent on Broadway.
July 2, 2023: Grant’s Farm Drone Show
We met up with some friends to see the “Fourth of July” Drone Show at Grant’s Farm.
August 18, 2023: Jammin at the Zoo
Another Jammin at the Zoo event. This time, we got to see the bear play with his toys.
July 24, 2023: Sunflower Field
Danielle’s favorite flower is the sunflower, so when she and Kyle were in town, I took them to see a sunflower field.
July 28, 2023: Cavetown Concert with MXMToon and Ricky Montgomery
I’m a big fan of MXMToon so when I heard Cavetown was coming back to St. Louis with MXMToon, I definitely wanted to go. I also enjoyed Ricky Montgomery too, who is actually from St. Louis.
July 29, 2023: Chicago Botanic Gardens
My friend Naomi and I went to Chicago for the weekend. On Saturday, we met up with Naomi’s sister and her family and visited the Chicago Botanic Gardens.
July 30, 2023: Malibu Barbie Cafe
The Malibu Barbie Cafe Pop Up in Chicago was the whole reason my friend and I went up to Chicago!
August 6, 2023: Selfie Stations
The mall in town had some fun selfie stations set up some my friend and I took some fun photos.
August 18, 2023: Jammin at the Zoo
Our last Jammin at the Zoo event of the year was also full of fun.
August 19, 2023: Hike at St. Francois State Park
I really like St. Francois State Park because of the creek that you walk along for a third of the hike. Nico also really loved the creek as you can tell!
August 30, 2023: Happy Birthday Nico
Nico turned 2 today!
September 1, 2023: Cedar Lake Cellars
Bryce and I decided to do a quick afternoon date at Cedar Lake Cellars. I got their wine slushy.
September 3, 2023: Birthday Party
One of my friend’s daughter had a birthday party so she invited a few of her friends over to swim in the pool.
September 10, 2023: Mural Mile Flood Wall
My friend and I went down to the Riverfront to walk the graffiti wall.
September 16, 2023: Dock Diving with Nico
Our friends have some dogs that love dock diving, so we attempted to take Nico. He loved the water, but he was unsure about the jumping.
September 17, 2023: Brookfield Farms
My friend and I checked out Brookfield Farms, but we were really underwhelmed by what was there. We still got to see some farm animals though.
September 17, 2023: Painting in the Park
I met up with a friend in the park and painted a new canvas for Halloween.
September 22, 2023: Chihuly at the Botanical Gardens
We went to the Botanical Gardens again to see Chihuly, but this time everything was lit up for an evening stroll.
September 30, 2023: Springfield, MO Botanical Gardens
We were in Springfield, MO for a friend’s wedding and decided to check out the botanical gardens as a quick afternoon walk.

October 4, 2023: Halloween Popup Bar
I went to a Halloween Popup bar and tried their Pumpkin King drink made with Pumpkin Spice Creamer.
October 6, 2023: Hootenanny
It was our friends’ annual Hootenanny. The dogs could play, we could camp, and even had a tractor ride.
October 19, 202 Boo at the Zoo
We went to Boo at the Zoo. I love all of their light up displays, and Bryce liked this Candy Corn Family.
October 20, 2023: Bonfire
I love bonfires in the fall, so this year I hosted a small bonfire event in the park. My costume for the year? Corn!
October 21, 2023: Pumpkin Patch
I have to go to the pumpkin patch every year as part of my fall activities.
October 27, 2023: Botanical Garden’s Spirit in the Garden
Bryce and I dressed up again. He wore his Dekalb hoodie and I was corn.
October 30, 2023: Happy Halloween
Nico wishes everyone a Happy Halloween!
November 1, 2023: Anniversary Dinner
We got free dessert at our favorite Italian restaurant since it was our anniversary!
November 11, 2023: Family Wedding
Bryce and I travelled up to Northern, Illinois for a family member’s wedding. It was nice to see the extended family
November 16, 2023: Date Night
Bryce and I went to the Frisco Barroom/Annex to enjoy their patio for a date night dinner.
November 18, 2023: Emerald City Pop Up Event
My friend and I went to a Wizard of Oz Themed Pop Up Event. They had some fun drinks that even had smoke come out of them.
November 23, 2023: Thanksgiving
We celebrated Thanksgiving in Dekalb this year. Nico even got his own charcuterie board.
December 3, 2023: Zoo Lights
We went to the St. Louis Zoo Lights again to see all of the lit up animals.
December 5, 2023: 360 Downtown
A Christmas themed pop-up event was held at 360 so I went with some friends. It was quite the display of Christmas.
December 9, 2023: Christmas in Springfield
We celebrated an early Christmas in Springfield since that was the time Kyle and Danielle could visit.
December 17, 2023: MoBot Garden Glow
We went to the Botanical Garden’s Garden Glow. I loved how they added Christmas lights over the water.
December 31, 2023: NYE
We had a quiet night with some friends for NYE. We did make sure there was a good charcuterie spread though. Happy New Years!
